Rx Clear® Luster Media For Sand Filters (Various Types)

Skip the heavy lifting and upgrade your sand filter with the lightweight, high-performance Rx Clear® Luster Blue Filter Media. Made from 100% polyethylene and infused with antimicrobial technology, this media helps reduce bacteria and microorganism growth in your pool, while delivering exceptional filtration down to 3–5 microns. Compared to traditional sand, which only filters to about 20 microns, this media gives you clearer water with less effort. It’s reusable, machine washable, and lasts up to 5 years—three times longer than standard sand.

This product recommends a pea gravel base. Layer pea gravel above the laterals before adding media.

Note: Clarifiers should not be used with this product.

Instructions for Use:

1. Open your filter.
2. Remove all sand/media from the tank and clean thoroughly.
3. Fill with Rx Clear® Luster Blue (1 box equals 50 lbs of sand).
4. Close the filter.
5. Do not backwash for 90 days, or until PSI exceeds 25.
6. Start filtering.
